Saftey Tips for Showing
-
Do your research:
Don't be afraid to google a client's name or look them up on Facebook prior to a showing. -
Arrive Early:
Get to the listing early so you can be familiar with your surroundings. Tour the home on your own and that way you can also let the buyers explore without you having to walk around with them, especially when going upstairs. Many safety experts suggest you let buyers go upstairs on their own as it is one of the most vulnerable places for an attack. Don't park your car in the driveway either as you can easily be blocked in. -
Utilize Showing Beacon with Showing Time
or another Safety App:
Showing Beacon will alert a trusted contact that you are at the showing. There are other apps that help notify contacts of your whereabouts. If you need a trusted contact, feel free to add myself or Roxanne as the contact. Here are some options:

Trust Your Gut:
If it doesn't feel right, don't risk your safety for a sale. Ask another agent to tag along with you or refer a client. You can also let the front desk know where you are headed. If you are in trouble and call into the office, and mention the key word "Red Folder" and Roxanne or the other front desk staff will try to look up where you will are showing if you haven't or can't tell them and alert police. -
